Where is Koh Rong?

Located in the Gulf of Thailand and about 25 km from the coast of Sihanoukville, there is an island named Koh Rong, or known as “paradise island” of Cambodia.

Koh Rong is the second largest island in Cambodia (after Koh Kong) with more than 78 square kilometers, 43 kilometers of coastline and more than 23 beautiful beaches.

The island is made of beaches with different coloration of sand – from (mainly) white to beige and to rose-colored along wild appealing coastline. Bays of Koh Rong with protruding capes and impressive sandstone rock formations make an add-up to the island’s scenic panorama as well. The southern coastline facing to the sea is particularly spectacular with weather and the atmosphere, while the eastern coast heading to the land is characterized by a sequence of smooth hills, gently sloping towards the numerous crescent-shaped beaches, inlets and bays. The best time to travel to Koh Rong is from early May and mid-November. The average temperature is from 25 to 40 degrees Celsius. The sky is cloudy. The humidity is low.
